The Young Alumni Program (YAP) is a five-year program designed to enhance the support of the Terrapin Club and Maryland Athletics from Young Alumni. If you have graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park, within the last five years, you are eligible!
As a recent graduate, you embody the future of the Terrapin family and represent the vital support for our 27 varsity sports. But we also understand that as a recent graduate, your financial resources are limited. Thus, we’ve developed a gradual giving increase timeline that gives you immediate Terrapin Club benefits without hurting your bank account.

In addition, members in the Young Alumni Program enjoy these exclusive additional benefits:
- Access to purchase football tickets in the Silver locations or in Section 16, bordering the student section. If the YAP member gives above the required dues, they will be eligible to sit in the sections available to their chosen giving level.
- Annual Young Alumni Program Event held in Heritage Hall
- Includes game tickets and 2 tickets to Heritage Hall for a pre-game event
- Brief program with at least 3 Head Coaches in attendance and speeches from 1 Coach, Terrapin Club Executive Director and a featured/guest speaker
- Free food and drink
- Raffle Drawings for men’s basketball ACC game tickets and autographed items
- Terrapin Club Board members on site to meet and greet, give out business cards and encourage contact
- Annual Young Alumni Program Event at Byrd Stadium
- All YAP members would be invited to join us in the newly developed Touchdown Terrace on the West Concourse at Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium

- Quarterly Young Professional Organization happy hour events held in a designated restaurant/bar in the Washington/Baltimore area

How to Join the Young Alumni Program
If you have graduated within the past 5 years from the University of Maryland at College Park, you can join the Young Alumni Program. To enroll, all you have to do is pay the minimum amounts listed below and provide your year of graduation. By doing so, you will automatically be placed in the Young Alumni Program and receive all benefits that come with it, including Silver level benefits in the Terrapin Club.
Year 1 - $25
Year 2 - $50
Year 3 - $75
Year 4 - $100
Year 5 - $135
Notes
Maryland young alumni may join this program at any time within their first five years removed from graduation. However, if someone joins the Terrapin Club in their third year removed from Maryland, they must start at the third year level of $75, their fourth year $100, etc.
If a YAP member elects to donate at a higher giving level for additional Terpoints and benefits, they are encouraged to do so and will still be a part of the Young Alumni Program.
